Today, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of our beneficiaries from Pope John Paul II High School in Nakaseke District, who have overcome significant challenges to excel in the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations. Joel Bazirio Kintu: A Story of Perseverance and Excellence
Joel Bazirio Kintu, the second-born in his family, hails from Namasujju Village, Bulyake Parish, Nakaseke District. Despite financial challenges, Joel’s parents, Josephine and Silvester, prioritized his education. After scoring an impressive Aggregate 9 in his Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Joel joined RNF’s half-bursary program, which enabled him to continue his studies at Pope John Paul II High School.
In the 2024 UCE exams, Joel achieved outstanding results, including 6 As and 3 Bs in subjects like History, Geography, Agriculture, and Biology. His exceptional performance reflects his unwavering commitment to his education and his determination to create a better future for himself and his family.
“Education is my greatest weapon,” Joel says. “With RNF’s support, I was able to focus on my studies and achieve my dreams. I am grateful for this opportunity.”
Nakidde Angel: Rising Above Adversity
Nakidde Angel’s journey is one of courage and resilience. After losing her mother at a young age, Angel was raised by her aunt, Agnes, in Bulyake Village. Despite the emotional and financial challenges she faced, Angel excelled in her PLE, scoring Aggregate 11, and earned a place in RNF’s bursary program.
In the 2024 UCE exams, Angel achieved 6 Bs, 2 Cs, and 1 D, with an outstanding A in Project Work. Her results are a reflection of her hard work and determination to overcome adversity.
“I want to be a role model for other girls who face challenges like mine,” Angel shares. “With education, I know I can achieve anything and make a difference in my community.”
Lubega Ospur Michael: A Future Doctor in the Making
Lubega Ospur Michael, from Kamusayi Village, Kigege Parish, has always dreamed of becoming a doctor. Born to supportive parents, Apolinali and Benalet, Michael’s academic journey was fueled by his father’s admiration for Rt. Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko and her commitment to education.
Michael’s stellar performance in the 2024 UCE exams, with 6 As and 3 Bs in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and History, has brought him one step closer to his dream. His father proudly shares, “We are grateful to RNF for allowing Michael to excel. He is determined to make a difference in the world.”
Kaaya Aisha Mellissa: A Star in the Making
Kaaya Aisha Mellissa is another shining example of RNF’s impact. With a strong passion for learning, Aisha achieved 3 As, 4 Bs, and 1 C in her UCE exams, excelling in History, Agriculture, and Biology. Her results reflect her dedication and the transformative power of education.
Aisha’s story is a reminder that every child has the potential to achieve greatness when given the right opportunities.
