This is the story of Nakayanja Faith, a 17-year-old girl whose journey from a small village in Nakaseke District to becoming one of the top performers under the Rose Namayanja Foundation (RNF) is a testament to the profound impact of giving and community support.

At the heart of the Rose Namayanja Foundation (RNF) lies the promise of hope, the drive for change, and the commitment to transforming lives. Today, we are honoured to share the inspiring journey of Nakawunde Esther, a young woman whose story embodies the essence of our mission.

The Rose Namayanja Foundation celebrated the graduation of 120 students who earned certificates from the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) in various vocational fields. The event highlighted the importance of vocational education in Uganda, with speeches from State Minister for Higher Education Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo and foundation director Rt Hon Namayanja Rose Nsereko. The graduates were encouraged to maintain discipline, integrity, and dedication in their professional lives.

In Uganda, women and young people often face significant challenges in achieving economic success. These challenges can be particularly acute in rural areas, where access to education, training, and employment opportunities may be limited.

Young people are the future. They are our hope for the future, and they deserve to be recognized as such. But despite this truth, many young people around the world live in communities where they have little access to resources and opportunities. Whether due to poverty or social stigma, young people are often left out of decisions that will shape their lives forever. This is why it’s so important for us adults in these communities (especially those who work with youth) to act on behalf of our young people by improving their access to education and employment opportunities—and increasing awareness about gender inequalities that affect them as well!
