At the Rose Namayanja Foundation (RNF), every graduate represents the impact of education, support, and determination. Today, we are proud to celebrate Kakande Chrispus, who has successfully earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University.
The Beginning of a Journey
Chrispus joined the RNF family in 2020 when he was admitted to Makerere University’s prestigious Law School. His educational journey was made possible through a 50% bursary, an initiative designed to support students with potential but limited resources. This opportunity was facilitated by his grandmother, Nalwadda Florence, from Mayirikiti, Mpwedde, Nakaseke District, who connected him to the foundation.
At the time, Chrispus faced challenges common to many students in rural Uganda, including financial constraints and limited access to quality education. However, with support from RNF, he was able to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer.
Reflecting on His Journey
Over the course of four years, Chrispus experienced consistent support from RNF. He describes his academic journey as smooth and filled with guidance from the foundation’s team, who were always there to provide encouragement and direction.
“RNF is family,” Chrispus shares, emphasizing the sense of belonging and support he felt throughout his university years. He attributes much of his success to the unwavering commitment of Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja and the RNF team, whose efforts ensured he could focus on his studies without undue stress.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Now, as a graduate of Makerere University, Chrispus is ready to step into the legal profession and contribute to his community. His achievement is not just a personal victory but also a reflection of the foundation’s mission to empower young people through education.
Chrispus also acknowledges the role of faith in his success, saying he is “grateful to God” for guiding him through the challenges and triumphs of his academic journey.
