A Journey of Hope and Transformation: Nakawunde Esther’s Story

At the heart of the Rose Namayanja Foundation (RNF) lies the promise of hope, the drive for change, and the commitment to transforming lives. Today, we are honoured to share the inspiring journey of Nakawunde Esther, a young woman whose story embodies the essence of our mission.

Nakawunde Esther, an 18-year-old academic prodigy from Kololo LC1, Kapeeka Parish, Nakaseke District, has faced more challenges than most her age. Despite these obstacles, she has emerged as a beacon of hope and resilience, not just for her family, but for her entire community.

Esther’s early education began at Konsolonto Primary School, Kapeeka, where she studied from Primary One to Primary Four. She then moved to St. Jorom Convey Kapeeka for her Primary Five to Seven. However, life threw her a curveball when she discovered that St. Jorom Convey was not registered as an examination center for the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB). Determined to continue her education, Esther registered at St. Kizito Lwetunga and excelled in her Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) with an impressive Aggregate 7.

Despite her academic achievements, Esther faced uncertainty about her secondary education. Her path crossed with the Rose Namayanja Foundation (RNF) at this critical juncture, and we were able to offer her a full bursary at St. Noah Girls Secondary School. At St. Noah, Esther’s brilliance continued to shine. She not only maintained her stellar performance but also emerged as the best student at the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) level with Aggregate 8 in her best subjects.

Today, Esther is pursuing Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics with the aspiration of becoming a doctor. Her dream is fueled by a deep desire to treat her mother, Namusoke Suzan Nabaggala, who suffers from a stroke, and to serve her community in Kapeeka and Nakaseke District. RNF proudly supports her educational journey through a full bursary at St. Noah Zana Girls Secondary School.

Esther’s story is one of resilience, hope, and the transformative power of education. It is a testament to the impact that compassionate support and opportunities can have on young lives. At RNF, we believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances.
