The Rose Namayanja Foundation is proud to present the Youth Parliament project, a partnership with Faraja Africa Foundation and a number of international and local NGOs. This initiative provides a safe space for young people to debate and advocate for policies that affect their communities.
Since its inception, the Youth Parliament project has engaged over 300 young people in local, regional, national, and East African parliamentary forums. Through these forums, participants have been able to engage with policy makers and contribute to the development of policies that will positively impact their communities.
As a result of these efforts, six policy proposals have been referred to national parliaments for further debate and consideration. We believe that by empowering young people to have a voice in the policy-making process, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society.
We look forward to continuing this important work in the coming year and invite you to join us in supporting the next generation of leaders.
