In an inspiring speech to students at Light High School, Sseguku, Rt Hon Namayanja Rose Nsereko, the Founder and Director of the Rose Namayanja Foundation emphasized the importance of setting goals and knowing oneself in order to achieve success.
“Anybody who doesn’t know where they are going doesn’t even know the route to take,” she told the students. “It’s important to have a goal that you have to achieve at every step of your life.”
She went on to explain that the human brain has limitless capacity and can achieve great things if one believes in oneself. “The limitless capacity of our brain can work depending on belief to achieve all that we want,” she said.
To achieve one’s goals, Namayanja urged the students to first examine themselves as individuals. “Who are you? It’s very important to know who you are,” she said. “Understand your background, then you can clearly know who you are, where you are now, and be able to set goals for where you want to go.”
Namayanja also emphasized the power that individuals have been given by God to conquer challenges and obstacles in their lives. “God gave us authority in this world,” she said. “You can conquer everything, and the place to conquer first is your brain. When you feel inadequate, you will achieve all.”
The speech left a deep impact on the students, who were inspired to set goals and strive towards success in their own lives. The Rose Namayanja Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to empower and support vulnerable women and children in Uganda, and the founder’s message of self-discovery and goal-setting is a key part of the organization’s mission.
