In partnership with the Rotary Club of Wobulenzi, the Rose Namayanja Foundation yesterday distributed scholastic materials and sanitary items to pupils in Luweero district.

Speaking to students moments after distributing the materials, the Rose Namayanja Foundation Program Coordinator, Ms Maria Muyonjo said that the donation was aimed at facilitating the under privileged pupils excel in their fourth coming National Examination.

“Together with our partners, Rotary Club of Wobulenzi, we have distributed sanitary pads to the girls so that they do not have to stay at home while their well to do counterparts are at school. We hope that these items will help them achieve their academic dreams,” Ms Maria said.

The items were distributed to pupils in four primary schools of Bukolwa Church of Uganda Primary School, Ssebamala Church of Uganda Primary School, St Joseph Wobulenzi Primary School and Wobulenzi UMEA.

Mr Amos Kabanda a Rotarian called on the pupils to work hard and have self believe if they are to succeed in their examinations.

“Passing depends on your preparation to sit exams. You should be focused on what you want to become. Don’t panic but take your time to understand the questions.” Mr Kabanda said.

The distribution exercise was also attended by the Wobulenzi Town Clerk Ms Nakamate Irene.
