In line with its mission of building an economically productive citizenry, the Rose Namayanja Foundation last week delivered a cash donation to the farming groups in Bukatira Sub-county, Nakaseke district.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, the Foundation CEO Mr Joseph Munyangabo said the donation was to uplift the capacity of the farming groups who in turn should help uplift other community members.

“The reason why we are partnering and supporting your groups is because we share the same values of development for the greater good. We want to inspire you to aspire for greater things for your communities and your families.” Mr Munyangabo said.

During the official launch of the RNF last year in May, the chief guest Mr. Moses Braruhanga pledged on behalf of State House, Sh2 million for Tulibumu Village group and also promised Sh1 million for Bivamuntuuyo – the Village women’s group. His request was to forward the money through the foundation.

The Vice Chairperson Bivamuntuuyo group, Mrs. Zalwango Catherine thanked the foundation patron, Hon Rose Namayanja Nsereko for contributing towards improving the educational standards within Semuto Sub County.

She urged the group executive committee members to work for the good of the group and further urged them to desist from corrupt tendencies.
